India celebrates the 74th Republic Day on 26 January 2023. The annual tradition of the morning when India was granted a constitution and became a republic will be on full display at the Kartavya Path in the capital Delhi.
This will be the first parade on the Kartavya Path, a converted ceremonial boulevard from the British era, formerly known as the Rajpath.
On Kartavya Path, President Droupadi Murmu will lead the country to celebrate Republic Day. The great parade, which begins at 10:30 am, will showcase both the country’s military prowess and its cultural diversity.

Extensive security arrangements have been made for the program, including the deployment of 6,000 soldiers. About 150 CCTV cameras will be installed, some of which will monitor the Kartavya Path in high resolution.
For the first time ever, Egyptian troops participate in a parade accompanied by marching troops and bands. A contingent of 144 troops from major branches of the Egyptian army.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted everyone at the event and noted that this year’s event is unique as it falls under the “Amrit Mahotsav” celebration of national independence.
