If you’re looking for a tax app with extra features, you’ll love TurboTax’s apps. It offers easy-to-navigate tools, helpful tax tips, real-time tax advice, accessible online chat, and more. The app also contains direct links to other apps from parent company Intuit, such as Mint or Credit Karma.
The TurboTax app asks you about your tax situation in a way similar to the questions you’ll face during a meeting with a tax professional. We found the app has a clean interface and is the easiest to use of all tax apps.
Depending on your tax situation, filing your taxes through the app may incur costs. There is no fee if you have a simple return with only one W-2 with no deductions.*. However, you can expect to pay if you have self-employment income or a significant amount of depreciation.
One downside to the TurboTax app is that it may try to upsell you for expensive add-ons. But overall, if you need a solid tax app to help you file, TurboTax might be your best bet.
