Navi Mumbai: Residents of homes built by CIDCO witnessed another plaster fall incident. Part of the ceiling plaster peeled off and landed on a home built by CIDCO in Seawoods last week.

The incident took place at the residence of Mangesh Kawle, a resident of the Dnyaneshwar Mauli Society in District 48, Seawoods.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.

The 15th case that occurred in a house built by CIDCO last month

This is the 15th case in the last month alone in a house built by CIDCO.

Occasionally, residents living in CIDCO-built homes at different nodes in Navi Mumbai have complained of incidents of falling ceilings or plaster.

Repeated news reports of similar incidents in homes built by CIDCO raised the issue of rebuilding the aging CIDCO building. Bharat Jadhav, a former BJP entity in the region, has raised concerns several times.

Surprisingly, CIDCO’s engineering department repaired the same building that saw the slabs fall on Saturday.

Jadhav demanded that the CIDCO administration immediately repair the collapsed ceiling in the Dnyaneshwar Mauli apartments.

The incident took place at the residence of Mangesh Kawle, a resident of the Dnyaneshwar Mauli Society in District 48, Seawoods.
