Gmail has also redesigned the information you see when you open a message. It is now archived on cards with dynamic colors used in the background. The top left corner again shows a preview of the image, name, and date of delivery (“from the shipper”). You may also see a store-specific “Order Number” that you can quickly copy. Below that is the order timeline with shortcuts to “Track Package” and “Order Details” on the web.

Compared to the previous design, when there are multiple items, the “items” are truncated and actually show less information.

When the feature was announced in early November, Google said it would launch on Android and iOS in the coming weeks. Once available, you’ll see a ‘Track your package in Gmail’ card at the top of your inbox.

You can disable it if you prefer the old view, and Google plans to “proactively display deferral labels and display email at the top of your inbox” over the coming months. It’s also available in Gmail on the web.
