iOS 16.3 adds support for Apple ID security keys.

San Francisco, January 24 Tech giant Apple has released iOS 16.3, the third major update to its iOS 16 operating system (OS). It includes security keys for Apple ID, new HomePod support, bug fixes, and more.

On compatible iPhones and iPads, iOS 16.3 can be downloaded over the air by going to Settings > General > Software Update, reports MacRumors.

However, due to high demand, it may take a few minutes for the update to reach all users.

The new update introduces a security key for Apple ID that allows users to have physical two-factor authentication instead of the digital two-factor authentication used to sign in to their Apple ID.

Also included in this update is a new Unity wallpaper along with 2nd Gen HomePod support.

With the iOS 16.3 update, the tech giant fixed a bug where a horizontal line intermittently appeared on the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and a bug where the Home lock screen widget did not accurately display the home application status.

The first iOS 16 OS came out in September of last year, and iOS 16.3 comes a month after the release of iOS 16.2, an update featuring Freeform apps, Apple Music Sing, advanced data protection and more, reports said.
