Nintendo Expands Switch Online N64 Service With GoldenEye 007

Well, it’s officially released. You can now play GoldenEye 007 on Nintendo Switch! If you have access to the Expansion Pack service, your mission will begin now.

Rare’s famous licensed FPS first appeared on the N64 in 1997. In this new, slightly updated version, players can now join online multiplayer. Additionally, the Switch Online + Expansion Pack service allows users to save and load game states at any time, making play even easier.

Here’s some more info on this latest feature added to the Switch Online service via Nintendo’s PR.

“Become Bond in GoldenEye 007 and enter the world of espionage. Your covert operations to stop GoldenEye weapons satellites span the world. You infiltrate underground bases, charge in military trains, and deep into the jungle. Along the way, M will brief you on your goals and Q Branch will assist you in your endeavors with a variety of tools, but ultimate success in this mission will be up to you alone or in a group of four. You can continue to enjoy first-person competitive action online in multiplayer mode.”

The remaining titles in Nintendo’s current batch of N64 NSO games include Mario Party 3, Pokémon Stadium, Pokémon Stadium 2, 1080 Snowboarding, and Excitebike 64. Japan will also get Harvest Moon 64.
