Set several games and DLCs to be deleted soon from the Xbox 360 Marketplace

Microsoft has announced that it will soon remove several games and DLC packs from the Xbox 360 Marketplace, including games like The Witcher 2, Far Cry 2, various Assassin’s Creed games, and more.

Per an update posted on the Xbox Support website, Microsoft has stated that starting February 7, 2023, several games and related DLC packs will be removed from the Xbox 360 Marketplace in select regions.

The post reads, “Several game titles and related add-ons will be removed from the Xbox 360 Marketplace by title in select regions. These removals will begin on February 7, 2023.” “Once purchased, you can always re-download this game or other previously purchased games from your Xbox 360 download history.”

Since Microsoft only mentioned the Xbox 360 Marketplace in its statement, it appears that most of the backwards-compatible games are still potentially available for purchase from the standard Xbox store, assuming they’ve been pulled over. Hopefully Microsoft will clarify this issue.
