India did a light job with Sri Lanka defeating the island nation by 7 wickets in their Group 6 match at Potchefstroom-South Africa. India forced itself into an easy victory dismantling Sri Lanka in a detrimental way.
Batting first, Sri Lanka found it very difficult to score as India restricted them to 59/9 from 20 overs. In response, India wasted no time and chased down a total of 9 overs. Captain Soumya Tiwari broke five boundaries for India scoring 28 runs off 15 balls.
Previously, Parvashi Chopra spun the web in the Sri Lankan side with match winning figures of 4/5 from her 4 overs. India topped the group with a win.
