First AMD Ryzen 7000X3D CPU Coming February 28th
AMD has confirmed release dates and pricing for the Ryzen 7000X3D series.
The company has stated that the price of its flagship 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X3D will be similar to the launch price of the ‘original’ Ryzen 9 7950X 16-core Zen 4 at $699. The processor is expected to launch on February 28 alongside a 12-core version, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D. AMD has priced this model at $599, which is $50 more than the 7900X at launch.
Following this Ryzen 9 X3D CPU, an 8-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D model will be launched on April 6th. According to AMD, this CPU is priced at $449, which is actually more expensive than the recently announced Ryzen 9 7900 non-X ($429).
All three processors are said to come equipped with an improved 3D V-Cache to deliver better gaming performance across the stack. The flagship model demonstrated AMD beating Intel’s Core i9-13900K 24-core CPU in gaming.
The new launch price of the Ryzen 7000X3D guarantees that the 7000X series will not go back to its original price. In fact, all prices listed below are already much lower on the retail market (Amazon).
- The current price of the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X is $589.
- The current price of the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X is $419.
- The current price of the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X is $345.
All three models come with a Star Wars Jedi Survivor free game code. It is unknown whether the 7000X3D series will also be included in this promotion.
