Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): At Bikram University, a special lecture on the tradition of Indian thought and Mahatma Gandhi was held here at the Maharaja Jiwajirao Library building on Monday, on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi. Professor Tribhuvannath Shukla, Senior Literature from Jabalpur, was the main guest of the programme. It was presided over by Professor Akhilesh Kumar Pandey, Vice-Chancellor of Vikram University. A floral tribute was made to the statue of Gandhi while observing mass silence in the library premises.
Professor Shukla said that we can know India through Gandhi’s works and writings. His thoughts work like mantras. In India, a system of life dependent on religion was given to everyone. Gandhi lived a similar life. He showed the way of his duty through his actions. Gandhiji proved that the ancient literature of India is the code of conduct in our lives. You can prove everything by absorbing Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and Ramcharitmanas. He was the ultimate Vaishnava. He believed in Satchidananda. Following his ideas frees us from limited scope, pettiness, and arrogance. Gandhi’s journey is a journey from me to us. He has reached from human to mahatma and from mahatma to divinity.
Professor Pandey said that in his presidential speech, Mahatma Gandhi described addiction as a curse. Now, as the Word says, we must walk the path of frequent, unity, and self-reliance. We must be free from all evil, including dowries. This program was conducted by Arjun Singh Chandel and is acknowledged by Dr. Ajay Sharma.
